Ethernet stream transmission via E1/STM channels

In modern conditions, there is a clear tendency to increase IP-traffic in the networks of operators. In this regard, operators with a previously developed structure of PDH/SDH networks are trying to reduce operating costs, but at the same time offer a full range of high-speed services.

In the presence of free channels E1/E3/STM-1 and STM-4 operators can actually solve any problems associated with the provision of a wide range of modern services. Moreover, operators with a developed structure of PDH/SDH networks get an advantage, since the main task they need to solve is to choose the equipment for the last mile, which will allow to implement all the necessary services on the basis of the existing transport network.

Let's consider the solution of the main problems with the use of converters of the Russian company QTECH.


Merger of two offices in different cities

Nowadays, corporate users tend to build their own network or get a guaranteed service from one operator. If the offices are located in the same city, it is possible to consider both options, but if the offices are located in different cities, the best solution is to rent channels from interregional operators.

Suppose the task is to combine two offices in different cities using nxe1 channels. Combining multiple remote offices

In this case, the problem can be solved with the help of converters QFC-P1M1DR-A, QFC-P4M1DR-A, and if necessary, the organization of wider bandwidth channels - QFC-P8M1DR-A, installed in the chassis QBM-PR16A on the Central node or in the Central office and similar converters installed in remote offices.



Using this scheme allows you to organize Ethernet channels at a speed close to 2, 8 and 16 Mbit/s. This allows you to solve tasks, easily choosing the necessary speed, depending on the needs of each office.

In turn, the chassis QBM-PR16A & nbsp;will solve other problems. For example, connection to the operator's network or connection of remote offices via fiber optic, further connection of new offices, etc. (using other modules produced by the company)

The above problem has one more solution using aggregator QFC-P16S8AR-A and also Converter QFC-P1M1DR-A, and inverse multiplexers QFC-P4S1AR-A, QFC-P8S1AR-A.



In this case, QFC-P16S8AR-a is used as a node equipment in a point-to-multipoint topology and occupies 1U.

Such a problem can be solved by connecting through the channels of the E3. In this case, you will need to use the QFC-PE3M1DR converters.



Such a wide range of equipment allows you to solve any task of combining remote branches or institutions. For example, the use of a QBM-PR16A chassis will allow the use of E1 and E3 channels depending on the needs, i.e. to optimize operating costs and obtain the necessary services at the required speeds.


Connect < b>e remote objects to the Internet

The use of converters QTECH opens wide possibilities for connectedness of rural schools, settlements, etc. Assume that there is a network of PDH, which connect remote rural PABX and in this network there are free channels E1. In this case, we can implement the following scheme.



The implementation of this scheme allows in the shortest possible time and with minimal cost to organize the connection to the Internet of remote objects using part of the E1 streams for telephony, and the rest of the streams for Ethernet. The last mile solution is IP DSLAM and ADSL modems.

The above diagram has another solution using the qfc-PS1GAP2R1-a aggregator that connects to the SDH transport network using the STM-1 interface (channelized STM-1) . As the terminals are the interfaces converters and inverse multiplexers for 4 or 8 E1 streams connected to the standard streams E1.

This problem can be solved with the help of converters QFC-PS1ARS4-GE, which allow you to organize the transfer of Fast or Gigabit Ethernet channels STM-1 or STM-4.



If there are several segments in the network and you can organize an entry point to the SDH network for each, the converters allow you to implement a point-to-multipoint topology.
